Sustainable Book Project

The Sustainable Book Project

The power of empowerment lies in enhancing the literacy skills of our South Africans. Our Sustainable Book Project aims to sustain the literacy skills to both the youth and in adults. We have teamed up with various fellow NPOs and NGOs already providing and sustaining literacy skills by equipping their libraries and schools they work in with non-fiction and fiction books. In this way we hope to collaboratively increase the literacy skills of the leaders of tomorrow.

To date we have donated and equipped several schools and fellow NGOs sustaining their projects thanks to the generous donations from the Rotary Club of Middleburg (Mr. Latib) & Sans Souci Girls High School (Sharon Swanepoel & Tracy Commerford), Zonnebloem N.E.S.T Senior School (Heather Calmeyer & Ivan Hannibal) in Cape Town for their storage space and Christo de Ridder and Twizza for transport assistance from Middleburg. Some of the beneficiaries of these books are listed below:

Parliament Primary School (Mfuleni)
Kleinberg Primary School (Ocean View)
Yellowwood Primary School (Tafelsig)
Hugenot Primary School (Tafelsig)
Seaview Primary School (Mitchell’s Plain)
Usasazo Secondary School (Khayelitsha)
Mathew Gone Memorial High School (Khayelitsha)
Glendale Senior Secondary School (Mitchell’s Plain)
